Using the gross-to-net calculator
With the gross-to-net calculator (integrated by Lohncomputer.ch), you can calculate your net salary quickly and easily from your gross salary. Based on the information you provide concerning your gross salary, age, marital status, number of children, church membership and parish, the calculator determines all mandatory salary deductions (social security contributions).
The salary deductions include:
- OASI (old-age and survivors' insurance)/IV (disability insurance)/EO (loss of earnings compensation scheme) contribution
- Unemployment insurance contribution
- NBU (non-occupational acc. ins.) contribution
- KTG (sickness allowance) contribution
- Pension fund
Your net salary is the basis for calculating your tax liability in Switzerland. For foreign employees, the withholding tax to be paid is calculated from this.
